mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | śṛṇu pārtha mahāpraśnaṃ kathayāmi yathāśrutam | sakāśādbrahmaṇaḥ pūrvamṛṣidevasamāgame

Translation

మార్కండేయుడు అన్నాడు—ఓ పార్థా, ఈ మహాప్రశ్నాన్ని విను. నేను ఎలా విన్నానో అలా చెబుతున్నాను—పూర్వం ఋషి-దేవ సమాగమంలో స్వయంగా బ్రహ్మ నుండి।
