Transliteration
yéna r̄́ṣayas tápasā satrám ā́yan índhānā agníṃ svàrā́bharantaḥ | tásminn aháṃ ní dadhé nā́ke agníṃ yám āhúr mánavaḥ stī́rṇabarhiṣam
Translation
ఏదివలన ఋషులు తపస్సుతో సత్రానికి వెళ్లారో—అగ్నిని ప్రజ్వలింపజేసి, స్వర్గీయ కాంతులను ముందుకు మోసుకుంటూ—అదే స్థలంలో నేను ఇప్పుడు నాకే (ఆకాశలోకంలో) ఆ అగ్నిని స్థాపిస్తున్నాను; మనువు కుమారులు ‘స్తీర్ణబర్హిష్’ (విస్తరించిన కుశాసనంతో) అగ్ని అని పిలిచేదాన్నే.
