Transliteration

tṛṇādiśivamūrtyaṃtaṃ viśvakhyātiśayakramaḥ | sannikarṣakramavaśāttayoriti parā śrutiḥ

Translation

గడ్డి తృణం నుండి శివమూర్తి వరకు లోకఖ్యాతిలో శ్రేష్ఠత క్రమం కనిపిస్తుంది; అయితే పరమ శ్రుతి ప్రకారం జీవుడు–శివుడు ఈ ఇద్దరిలో సమీపత క్రమం వల్ల ‘ఇదం-భావం’ వ్యక్తమవుతుంది।
