FAQs

It teaches that Shiva-worship begins with inner and outer purification: obstacles (vighna) are dispelled and the worship-space is spiritually sealed, expressing reverence for Shiva as Pati who removes bonds (pāśa) and grants an unobstructed path toward grace.

Before approaching the Shiva-Linga as Saguna Shiva in formal pūjā, the devotee ritually establishes protection in all directions, creating a sanctified arcanā-bhūmi where the presence of Shiva can be invoked without disturbance.

Perform a protective nyāsa/dir-nyāsa: use a weapon-mantra to remove impediments, apply an armour-mantra as a spiritual covering, and mentally place protection in the ten directions before beginning Linga-archana.
