Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: The narrative shifts from enumeration to approach: many come to ‘Śiva-sannidhi’. In Siddhānta terms, approaching the Lord’s presence under right instruction is the precondition for anugraha (grace) that loosens pāśa.
Significance: Darśana/sannidhi of Śiva, coupled with vidhivat-kriyā (proper observance), is presented as spiritually efficacious—purifying the paśu and orienting it toward liberation.
It highlights that nearness to Śiva is fulfilled through disciplined devotion—approaching Him with guidance and performing worship in accordance with śāstric vidhi, which purifies the pashu (bound soul) and aligns it to Pati (Śiva).
The phrase “Śiva-sannidhi” implies worship in Śiva’s manifest, accessible presence—classically through saguna upāsanā such as Liṅga-pūjā—where correct procedure (vidhi) supports steady bhakti and reverence.
It suggests performing Shiva-pūjā as prescribed: mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), along with orderly observances like offering water, bilva leaves, and maintaining purity and focus under proper instruction.
