Suta Goswami (narrating the Kailasa Samhita teaching to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pasha
Role: teaching
It gives a precise yogic visualization: the devotee forms an inner lotus with a central pericarp and eight petals, establishing a sacred seat for Shiva-consciousness so the mind becomes structured, pure, and fit for worship.
The lotus-layout functions as an inner shrine: the central ‘karṇikā’ is treated as the sanctum where Saguna Shiva (often contemplated as the Linga or the Lord with attributes) is installed for dhyāna, leading the seeker toward deeper realization.
A focused dhyāna practice: visualize an eight-petalled lotus with a central pericarp, then place Shiva (and/or the Panchakshara, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) in the center and worship mentally with steadiness and devotion.
