अपघ्नन्नेषि पवमान शत्रून्प्रियां न जारो अभिगीत इन्दुः । सीदन्वनेषु शकुनो न पत्वा सोमः पुनानः कलशेषु सत्ता ॥
apághnann eṣi pavamāna śátrūn priyā́ṃ na jā́ro abhígīta índuḥ | sī́dan váneṣu śakunó na patvā́ sómaḥ punānáḥ kalaśéṣu sattā́ ||
ఓ పవమానా, నీవు శత్రువులను సంహరిస్తూ ముందుకు సాగుతావు; ప్రియురాలి గీతంతో ప్రశంసింపబడే ప్రియుడిలా ఈ ప్రకాశమయ ఇందువు స్తుతింపబడుతున్నాడు. ఎగిరివచ్చిన పక్షిలా చెక్కపాత్రాలలో కూర్చుంటూ, శుద్ధుడైన సోముడు కలశాలలో తన ఆసనాన్ని అధిష్ఠిస్తాడు.
