Sukta 8.47
नेह भद्रं रक्षस्विने नावयै नोपया उत । गवे च भद्रं धेनवे वीराय च श्रवस्यतेऽनेहसो व ऊतयः सुतयो व ऊतयः ॥
néha bhadráṃ rakṣasvíne nā́vayái nópayā́ utá | gáve ca bhadráṃ dhénave vīrā́ya ca śravasyaté ’nehasaḥ vo ūtáyaḥ su-ūtáyaḥ vo ūtáyaḥ ||
ఇక్కడి మంగళం రక్షస్సులో సంచరించేవానికి పోకూడదు—దిగివచ్చేవానికి కూడా, శత్రు-భావంతో దగ్గరకు వచ్చేవానికి కూడా కాదు. కానీ మంగళం గవే (ప్రకాశ-కిరణమైన గోవు)కూ, ధేనవే (పోషించే పాల-శక్తి)కూ, యశస్సు యొక్క సత్య-శ్రవణాన్ని కోరే వీరునికీ కలుగుగాక. మీ హానిలేని సహాయాలు, మీ శుభ సహాయాలు (మాతో) ఉండుగాక.
