यद्योधया महतो मन्यमानान्त्साक्षाम तान्बाहुभिः शाशदानान् । यद्वा नृभिर्वृत इन्द्राभियुध्यास्तं त्वयाजिं सौश्रवसं जयेम ॥

Transliteration

yád yodháyā maható manyamānā́n sākṣā́ma tā́n bāhúbhiḥ śāśadānā́n | yád vā nṛ́bhir vṛ́ta indra abhí-yudhyās táṃ tvayā́jim sauśravásaṃ jayema ||

Translation

నీవు యుద్ధానికి ఆ మహానుభావులను నడిపించినప్పుడు—తమను తాము మహాబలవంతులమని భావించి, భుజబలంతో దూసుకొచ్చే వారిని—మేము ప్రత్యక్షంగా ఎదురెళ్లి అణచివేస్తాము; లేదా, ఓ ఇంద్రా, నరులతో కలిసి ఎన్నుకోబడి నీవు వృత్రునకు వ్యతిరేకంగా అభియుద్ధం చేయునప్పుడు—నీతో కలిసి మేము ఆ సమరాన్ని జయించుదుము గాక; అది ‘సుశ్రవస్’ (సత్కీర్తి) ప్రసాదించునది కావాలి.
