विभ्राजमान उषसामुपस्थाद्रेभैरुदेत्यनुमद्यमानः । एष मे देवः सविता चच्छन्द यः समानं न प्रमिनाति धाम ॥

vibhrā́jamāna uṣásām upásthād rebháir úd ety anumádyamānaḥ | eṣá me deváḥ savitā́ cacchanda yáḥ samānáṃ ná praminā́ti dhā́ma ||

ఉషస్సుల ఒడిలోనుండి ప్రకాశిస్తూ అతడు ఉదయమవుతాడు; ఋషుల స్తోత్రధ్వనితో కలిసి, ముందుకు సాగుతూ ఆనందిస్తాడు. ఈ దేవుడు సవితా నా ఆకాంక్షకు అనుమతి దయచేయుగాక—వెలుగின் స్థిర ధామాన్ని, ఆ స్థాపిత నివాసాన్ని, తగ్గించనివాడు.
