एष स्तोमो मह उग्राय वाहे धुरीवात्यो न वाजयन्नधायि । इन्द्र त्वायमर्क ईट्टे वसूनां दिवीव द्यामधि नः श्रोमतं धाः ॥

eṣá stómो mahá ugrā́ya vā́he dhurī́v ā́tyo ná vājáyan adhāyi | índra tvā́yam arká ī́ṭṭe vásūnāṃ divī́va dyā́m ádhi naḥ śrómataṃ dhāḥ ||

ఈ స్తోమం మహత్తరుడైన ఉగ్రునికై—వాహకునికై—ధురీవాత్య (జూలో జతచేసిన) అశ్వంలా, బల-సమృద్ధి కోసం ఉద్దీపితమై స్థాపించబడింది. హే ఇంద్రా! ఈ అర్క (స్తుతి-ఋక్) నీ వద్ద వసువులు (ధనాలు) కోరుతుంది; మా కోసం దివి వలె ఉన్నతమైన, ద్యౌ (ప్రకాశమయ లోకం)పై అధిష్ఠితమైన, శ్రవణీయ కీర్తిని స్థాపించు.
