Sukta 6.44
मा जस्वने वृषभ नो ररीथा मा ते रेवतः सख्ये रिषाम । पूर्वीष्ट इन्द्र निष्षिधो जनेषु जह्यसुष्वीन्प्र वृहापृणतः ॥
mā jasváne vṛṣabha no rarīthā́ mā te revátaḥ sakhyé riṣāma | pūrvī́ṣ ṭa indra niṣṣídho jáneṣu jahy ásuṣvīn prá vṛhā́pṛṇataḥ ||
వృషభా (ఇంద్రా), మా ఉల్లాసోద్గమంలో మమ్మల్ని హానిచేయకు; నీ ‘రేవత్’ (సమృద్ధ) సఖ్యంలో మమ్మల్ని క్షీణింపనీయకు. మనుష్యుల మధ్య నీ అనేక ప్రాచీన ‘నిష్షిధ’ (నియమ-నిషేధాలు) స్థాపితమై ఉన్నాయి—‘అసుష్వీన్’ (సోమాన్ని పిండనివారు) వారిని సంహరించు; ‘అపృణతః’ (అపూర్ణులు/అతృప్తులు) వారిని దూరం తోలివేయి.
