स त्वं न इन्द्राकवाभिरूती सखा विश्वायुरविता वृधे भूः । स्वर्षाता यद्ध्वयामसि त्वा युध्यन्तो नेमधिता पृत्सु शूर ॥

Transliteration

sa tvaṃ na indra akavābhir ūtī sakhā viśvāyur avitā vṛdhe bhūḥ | svaḥ-sātā yad hvayāmasi tvā yudhyanto nema-dhitā pṛtsu śūra ||

Translation

ఓ ఇంద్రా! నీ అక్షయమైన ఊతులతో నీవు మా కొరకు నిజంగా స్నేహితుడవు కావాలి; సమస్త జీవనానికి సహచరుడై, మా వృద్ధికి రక్షకుడై ఉండు. ప్రకాశమయ ‘స్వః’ స్వర్గాన్ని గెలిచినవాడిగా మేము నిన్ను పిలిచినప్పుడు, ఓ శూరా, యుద్ధాల్లో మేము పునాదిని దృఢంగా నిలిపి నేలను వదలని వారిలా పోరాడుతాము.
