धृतव्रतो धनदाः सोमवृद्धः स हि वामस्य वसुनः पुरुक्षुः । सं जग्मिरे पथ्या रायो अस्मिन्त्समुद्रे न सिन्धवो यादमानाः ॥

dhṛtávrato dhanadā́ḥ sómavṛddhaḥ sá hí vā́masya vásunaḥ purukṣúḥ | sáṃ jagmire pathyā́ rā́yo asmín samudré ná síndhavo yā́damānāḥ ||

ధృతవ్రతుడు, ధనదాత, సోమవృద్ధుడు—అతడే వాంఛిత వసువుకు బహువాసి (పురుక్షు). ఋతపథంలో సాగే రాయోధారలు అతనిలో సమేకమవుతాయి; సముద్రంలో నదులు కలిసినట్లు, తమ సమృద్ధిని అర్పిస్తూ ప్రవహిస్తాయి.
