प्रथिष्ट यामन्पृथिवी चिदेषां भर्तेव गर्भं स्वमिच्छवो धुः । वातान्ह्यश्वान्धुर्यायुयुज्रे वर्षं स्वेदं चक्रिरे रुद्रियासः ॥

Transliteration

práthīṣṭa yā́man pṛthivī́ cíd eṣā́m bhártā-iva gárbhaṃ svám ícchavo dhuḥ | vātā́n hí áśvān dhurí ā́yuyujre várṣaṃ svédam cakrire rudríyāsaḥ ||

Translation

వారి ముందుకు సాగు గతి అత్యంత దృఢమైనది; వారి ఒత్తిడికి భూమి కూడా—భర్త తన స్వంత గర్భ/బీజాన్ని మోసినట్లుగా—వంగి భరిస్తుంది. రుద్రియ శక్తులైన వారు రథధురిపై గాలులను అశ్వాలవలె యోకుతారు; వారు వర్షాన్నీ, శ్రమ-స్వేదాన్నీ సృష్టిస్తారు—ప్రకృతిని వశపరచే బలానికి సూచకాలు.
