Sukta 5.45
आ सूर्यो अरुहच्छुक्रमर्णोऽयुक्त यद्धरितो वीतपृष्ठाः । उद्ना न नावमनयन्त धीरा आशृण्वतीरापो अर्वागतिष्ठन् ॥
ā́ sū́ryo aruhac chukrám árṇo’́yukta yád dháritó vīta-pṛ́ṣṭhāḥ | udnā́ ná nā́vam anayanta dhī́rā āśṛṇvatī́r ā́po arvā́g atiṣṭhan ||
సూర్యుడు ప్రకాశమయ ప్రవాహంపై आरोహించాడు; మెరుస్తున్న పృష్ఠములు గల హరిత (తామ్ర) అశ్వాలను అతడు యోక్తం చేసినప్పుడు. జలమార్గంలో ధీరులు నావను నడిపి తెచ్చినట్లు, శ్రవణశీలమైన ఆపః (జలదేవతలు) సమీపంగా నిలిచారు—ఇదివైపు కదులుతూ, అన్వేషకుని పారగమనాన్ని ధరిస్తూ.
