समुद्रमासामव तस्थे अग्रिमा न रिष्यति सवनं यस्मिन्नायता । अत्रा न हार्दि क्रवणस्य रेजते यत्रा मतिर्विद्यते पूतबन्धनी ॥

Transliteration

samudrám āsā́m áva tasthe agrimā́ ná riṣyati sávanam yásminn ā́yatā | átrā ná hā́rdi kravaṇásya rejate yátrā matír vidyáte pū́tabandhanī ||

Translation

అతడు అగ్రిమ (అగ్రణి) వారి సముద్ర-గర్భంపై దిగివచ్చి స్థిరమయ్యాడు; వారు సమీకృతమయ్యే ఆ సవన (సోమ-పీడన/అర్పణ) హానికరమవదు. ఇక్కడ భక్షకుని భయంతో హృదయం వణకదు—ఎక్కడ మతి (చింతన) విద్యతే, పూత-బంధనీ: శుద్ధమై, ఋత-సంయమంలో బంధింపబడినది.
