वेत्यग्रुर्जनिवान्वा अति स्पृधः समर्यता मनसा सूर्यः कविः । घ्रंसं रक्षन्तं परि विश्वतो गयमस्माकं शर्म वनवत्स्वावसुः ॥

Transliteration

véty ágruḥ jánivān vā́ áti spṛ́dhaḥ samaryatā́ mánasā sū́ryaḥ kavíḥ | ghráṃsaṃ rákṣantaṃ pári viśvátó gáyam asmā́kaṃ śárma vanavat svā́vasuḥ ||

Translation

అతడు నూతనజన్ముడైన, ఉత్సుకుడైన అగ్రు; ప్రత్యర్థి స్పృధలను దాటి ముందుకు సాగుతాడు—మనస్సు సమన్వయంతో సూర్యుడు, కవి-ఋషి. చుట్టూరా మండే ఉష్ణాన్ని కాపాడుతూ, మనకు శాంతి గృహాన్ని సంపాదించుగాక; తన స్వ-వసు (స్వసంపద/స్వశక్తి) చేత మన శర్మ—ఆశ్రయాన్ని—వృద్ధి చేయుగాక.
