कया नो अग्न ऋतयन्नृतेन भुवो नवेदा उचथस्य नव्यः । वेदा मे देव ऋतुपा ऋतूनां नाहं पतिं सनितुरस्य रायः ॥

káyā no agne ṛtáyan ṛténa bhúvo návedā ucáthasya návyaḥ | véda me devá ṛtu-pā́ ṛtūnā́ṃ nā́haṃ pátiṃ sanitúr asyá rāyáḥ ||

ఓ అగ్నీ, ఏ మార్గంలో—ఋతం చేత ఋతంలో చలిస్తూ—నీవు మా కొరకు స్తోత్రస్య సదా-నవీన వేదకుడవు అవుతావు? దేవుడు, ఋతుపా—ఋతువుల పాలకుడు—నాకు ఋతువులను తెలుసు; కానీ ఈ సిద్ధి-సంపద ధనానికి అధిపతిని నేను ఇంకా పొందలేదు.
