Sukta 4.16
एवेदिन्द्राय वृषभाय वृष्णे ब्रह्माकर्म भृगवो न रथम् । नू चिद्यथा नः सख्या वियोषदसन्न उग्रोऽविता तनूपाः ॥
evéd índrāya vṛṣabhā́ya vṛ́ṣṇe bráhmākarmá bhṛ́gavo ná rátham | nū́ cid yáthā naḥ sakhyā́ víyoṣad ásann ugró ’vitā́ tanūpā́ḥ ||
ఇలా వృషభుడు, వృష్ణుడు (బలవంతుడైన అధిపతి) అయిన ఇంద్రునికై మేము బ్రహ్మ—మంత్రాన్ని—రచించాము; భృగువులు రథాన్ని నిర్మించునట్లు. ఇంకా ఇప్పుడును, మా సఖ్యత (స్నేహం) విడిపోకుండునట్లు, ఆ ఉగ్రుడు (ప్రచండుడు) మా అవితా (రక్షకుడు/సహాయకుడు) కావాలి—తనూపాః, దేహధారిని కాపాడువాడు.
