प्र सु विश्वान्रक्षसो धक्ष्यग्ने भवा यज्ञानामभिशस्तिपावा । अथा वह सोमपतिं हरिभ्यामातिथ्यमस्मै चकृमा सुदाव्ने ॥
Transliteration
prá sú viśvā́n rákṣaso dhákṣy agne bhávā yajñā́nām abhiśastipā́vā | áthā vaha sómapatiṃ háribhyām ātíthyam asmai cakṛma sudā́vne ||
Translation
హే అగ్నీ, సమస్త రక్షస్—అంధకార శక్తులను—దహించివేయి; యజ్ఞాలకు అభిశస్తి (శత్రు-ఆక్రమణ) నుండి కాపాడే పావకుడు—శుద్ధికర్త—గా ఉండు. ఆపై హరిభ్యాం—నీ హరిత/తామ్ర అశ్వాలతో—సోమపతిని తీసుకురా; ఆ సుదావన్ (ఉదార దాత) కొరకు మేము ఆతిథ్యం—అర్పణ విందు-సత్కారాన్ని—సిద్ధం చేసాము.
