ghṛtávantam úpa māsi mádhumantaṃ tanū-napāt | yajñáṃ víprasya mā́vataḥ śaśamā́nasyá dā́śuṣaḥ ||
Translation
హే తనూనపాత్, ఘృతవంత—ఘృతసమృద్ధ—మధుమంత—మధురరససంపన్న—ఈ హవికి సమీపించు. విప్రుని మావంత (సమృద్ధ/బలవంత) యజ్ఞాన్ని—శశమాన (సంయమంలో స్థిరమైన) దాశుష్దీ—దృఢపరచి, ఉన్నతం చేయి.
