Sukta 1.136
अयं मित्राय वरुणाय शंतमः सोमो भूत्ववपानेष्वाभगो देवो देवेष्वाभगः । तं देवासो जुषेरत विश्वे अद्य सजोषसः । तथा राजाना करथो यदीमह ऋतावाना यदीमहे ॥
ayám mitrā́ya váruṇāya śáṃtamaḥ sómo bhūtv avapānéṣv ā́bhago devó devéṣv ā́bhagaḥ | táṃ devā́so juṣerata víśve adyá sajóṣasaḥ | tathā́ rājānā karatho yád ī́mahe ṛ́tāvānā yád ī́mahe ||
ఈ సోమము—మిత్రునికీ వరుణునికీ అత్యంత శాంతిదాయకమై—అర్పిత పానాహుతులలో శుభభాగమై, దేవుల మధ్య దైవభాగమై నిలుస్తుంది. ఈ రోజు సమ్మతితో, ఏకమనస్సుతో, సమస్త దేవులు దీనిని ఆనందించి స్వీకరించుగాక. అలాగే, ఓ ఇద్దరు రాజులారా (మిత్ర-వరుణ), ఋతవంతులై, మేము యాచించేది—అది సిద్ధింపజేయుడి; మేము యాచించేది—అది సిద్ధింపజేయుడి.
