मा नो महान्तमुत मा नो अर्भकं मा न उक्षन्तमुत मा न उक्षितम् । मा नो वधीः पितरं मोत मातरं मा नः प्रियास्तन्वो रुद्र रीरिषः ॥
mā́ no mahā́ntam utá mā́ no arbhakáṃ mā́ na ukṣántam utá mā́ na ukṣitám | mā́ no vadhīḥ pitáraṃ mótá mātáraṃ mā́ naḥ priyā́s tanvò rudra rīriṣaḥ ||
మా మహత్తర బలాన్ని కూల్చవద్దు; మా చిన్న ఆరంభాన్నీ కాదు. పెరుగుతున్నదాన్నీ కొట్టవద్దు; పెరిగినదాన్నీ కాదు. మా తండ్రిని వధించవద్దు; మా తల్లినీ కాదు. హే రుద్రా, మా ప్రియమైన దేహాలను గాయపరచవద్దు.
