एकोनषष्ठितमः सर्गः (Sarga 59): सुमन्त्रवाक्यं, अयोध्याविषादः, दाशरथिशोकसागरः

अशोभनं योऽहमिहाद्य राघवं दिदृक्षमाणो न लभे सलक्ष्मणम्।इतीव राजा विलपन्महायशाः पपात तूर्णं शयने समूर्छितः।।2.59.37।।

aśobhanaṁ yo 'ham ihādya rāghavaṁ didṛkṣamāṇo na labhe salakṣmaṇam | itīva rājā vilapan mahāyaśāḥ papāta tūrṇaṁ śayane samūrcchitaḥ || 2.59.37 ||

‘ఎంత అమంగళం! నేను ఇక్కడ రాఘవుణ్ని లక్ష్మణునితో చూడాలని తపిస్తున్నాను, కాని చూడలేకపోతున్నాను.’ అని విలపించిన మహాయశస్వి రాజు వెంటనే శయ్యపై మూర్ఛతో కూలిపోయాడు।
