जानकी तु महाराज निश्श्वसन्ती मनस्विनी।भूतोपहतचित्तेव विष्ठिता विस्मृता स्मिता।।।।

jānakī tu mahārāja niśśvasantī manasvinī |

bhūtopahatacitteva viṣṭhitā vismṛtā smitā ||

కానీ మహారాజా, మనస్వినీ జానకి లోతైన నిట్టూర్పులు విడుస్తూ, ఏదో భూతప్రభావంతో మనస్సు దెబ్బతిన్నదానిలా—స్తంభించి, మరిచిపోయినట్టుగా, అయినా స్వల్ప చిరునవ్వుతో—నిలిచింది।
