रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
अपगच्छतु ते दु:खं माभूर्बाष्पपरिप्लुतः।न हि क्षुभ्यति दुर्धर्षः समुद्रः सरितां पतिः।।।।
apagacchatu te duḥkhaṁ mā bhūr bāṣpa-pariplutaḥ |
na hi kṣubhyati durdharṣaḥ samudraḥ saritāṁ patiḥ ||
నీ దుఃఖం తొలగిపోవుగాక; కన్నీళ్లతో మునిగిపోకు. నదుల అధిపతి అయిన అజేయ సముద్రం ఎప్పుడూ కలత చెందదు.
Let your grief go. Do not shed tears. The indomitable ocean, Lord of rivers, is never perturbed.
Dharma includes emotional restraint in crisis: the king should embody steadiness for the welfare of the realm.
Rāma consoles Daśaratha, asking him to stop weeping and remain firm like the ocean.
Composure (śama) and courage (dhairya) in the face of painful duty.
