The Gift of the Sandals and Delegated Kingship
अन्तर्हिता मुनिगणास्सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः। तौ भ्रातरौ महात्मानौ काकुत्स्थौ प्रशशंसिरे।।2.112.2।।
antarhitā munigaṇāḥ siddhāś ca paramarṣayaḥ | tau bhrātarau mahātmānau kākutsthau praśaśaṃsire || 2.112.2 ||
కంటికి అగోచరులైన మునిగణాలు, సిద్ధులు, పరమర్షులు—కాకుత్స్థ వంశానికి చెందిన ఆ ఇద్దరు మహాత్మ సోదరులను ప్రశంసించారు।
I do not venture to protect this kingdom all by myself and keep the inhabitants of the towns and villages who are loyal to you pleased.
Righteous conduct gains recognition even beyond human society; dharma is witnessed and affirmed by the wise (ṛṣis) and perfected beings.
As Rāma and Bharata engage in a moment charged with duty and kingship, unseen sages and celestial perfected beings observe and praise them.
Mahātmyam—great-souled nobility—shown through restraint, humility, and commitment to rightful duty.
