Kaikeyī’s Protest
अहं चैव मदीयाश्च सर्वे तव वशानुगाः।न ते किञ्चिदभिप्रायं व्याहन्तुमहमुत्सहे।।।।
ahaṃ caiva madīyāś ca sarve tava vaśānugāḥ | na te kiñcid abhiprāyaṃ vyāhantum aham utsahe ||
నేను మరియు నావారందరూ నీ వశానుగాములమే; నీ అభిప్రాయంలోని ఏ భాగాన్నీ అడ్డగించుటకు నేను ధైర్యం చేయను.
My kins and I are under your control. I will make no effort to go even a little againstyour wishes.
Dharma values loyalty, but not at the cost of righteousness; surrendering judgment entirely to another’s desire risks abandoning the king’s duty to truth and justice.
