गुणप्रशंसा–युवराजनिर्णयः

Praise of Rama’s Virtues and the Decision on the Heir-Apparent

श्रैष्ठ्यं शास्त्रसमूहेषु प्राप्तो व्यामिश्रकेषु च।अर्थधमौ च सङ्गृह्य सुखतन्त्रो न चालसः।।।।

śraiṣṭhyaṃ śāstrasamūheṣu prāpto vyāmiśrakeṣu ca | arthadharmau ca saṅgṛhya sukhatantraḥ na cālasaḥ ||

అతడు శాస్త్రసమూహాలలోను, పరస్పర సంబంధిత విద్యాశాఖలలోను శ్రేష్ఠతను పొందెను. ముందుగా అర్థమును ధర్మమును సమ్యగ్గా గ్రహించి, తరువాత సుఖమార్గమునకు ప్రవృత్తుడైనను, ఎప్పుడును ఆలస్యము కలవాడు కాడు.
