व्यास उवाच । वेदं वेदौ तथा वेदान्वेदांगानि तथा द्विजाः । अधीत्य चाधिगम्यार्थं ततः स्नायाद्द्विजोत्तमः
vyāsa uvāca | vedaṃ vedau tathā vedānvedāṃgāni tathā dvijāḥ | adhītya cādhigamyārthaṃ tataḥ snāyāddvijottamaḥ
వ్యాసుడు పలికెను—ఓ ద్విజోత్తమా! ద్విజుడు వేదం, రెండు వేదాలు, అలాగే వేదాంగాలతో కూడిన వేదాలను అధ్యయనం చేసి, వాటి భావార్థాన్ని గ్రహించిన తరువాత సమావర్తన స్నానం చేయాలి.
