विकुंडल उवाच । श्रुत्वा त्वद्वचनं सौम्य प्रसन्नं चित्तमेव मे । गंगोदं पापहं सद्यः पापहारि सतां वचः
vikuṃḍala uvāca | śrutvā tvadvacanaṃ saumya prasannaṃ cittameva me | gaṃgodaṃ pāpahaṃ sadyaḥ pāpahāri satāṃ vacaḥ
వికుణ్డలుడు అన్నాడు—హే సౌమ్యా! నీ వచనాలు విని నా చిత్తం ప్రసన్నమైంది. గంగాజలం ఎలా తక్షణమే పాపాన్ని హరిస్తుందో, అలాగే సత్పురుషుల వాక్యమూ పాపాన్ని తొలగిస్తుంది.
