Concept: Regardless of poverty or loss of status, one who goes to sacred places and beholds the Lord in samādhi receives blessing and uplift.

Application: When facing loss or instability, take refuge in simple pilgrimage/temple-visits, combine with quiet meditation and nāma-japa; measure worth by devotion, not status.

Primary Rasa: karuna

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: tirtha

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A weary traveler in simple cloth—once regal, now humbled—walks toward a sacred shrine complex, guided by the sound of bells. FAQs

It explicitly includes those who are socially or materially diminished—such as the poor or those who have lost political power—affirming that spiritual attainment is not restricted by worldly status.

It presents an integrated ideal: going to sacred places is not merely physical travel, but is meant to culminate in inner absorption (samādhi) that enables true divine ‘seeing’ (darśana).

Worldly loss—poverty or a fall from power—need not lead to despair; one can redirect life toward sacred practice, disciplined contemplation, and renewed spiritual purpose.
