FAQs

It stresses selecting a śubha tithi (auspicious lunar day) and lagna (auspicious ascendant) before conducting the vivāha-saṃskāra, reflecting dharma-oriented timing in ritual practice.

Agni represents the sacred witness and ritual center of the ceremony, while brāhmaṇas represent Vedic authority and proper performance of rites; together they signify a marriage conducted according to orthodox dharma.

The verse highlights saṃskāra as a sacred, community-witnessed duty: life transitions should be sanctified through proper rites, qualified guidance, and reverence for sacred witnesses.
