Sage Narada (teaching the Sanatkumara brothers)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It warns that Kali-yuga strengthens when those responsible for safeguarding Vedic dharma (dvijas) normalize irreligious ideas through constant talk and close association, causing social and spiritual decline.
By implication it emphasizes satsanga—keeping the company of the dharmic and the Vishnu-bhaktas—because wrong association (asat-saṅga) erodes faith and practice, while right association stabilizes bhakti and conduct.
The verse primarily highlights sadācāra (right conduct) and discernment in association; it indirectly supports Vyākaraṇa and Śikṣā-based scriptural fidelity by discouraging speech and discourse that undermines Vedic authority.
