Tithi-Nirṇaya for Vratas: Ekādaśī Rules, Saṅkrānti Punya-kāla, Eclipse Observances, and Prāyaścitta

सिनीवाली परा ग्राह्या सर्वथा श्राद्धकर्मणि । अत्यंततिथिवृद्धौ तु भूतविद्धां परित्यजेत् ॥ ३२ ॥

sinīvālī parā grāhyā sarvathā śrāddhakarmaṇi | atyaṃtatithivṛddhau tu bhūtaviddhāṃ parityajet || 32 ||

శ్రాద్ధకర్మలో సదా సినీవాలీ తిథినే శ్రేష్ఠంగా గ్రహించాలి. అయితే తిథి అత్యధికంగా పెరిగినప్పుడు భూతవిద్ధా (అశుభకాలంతో విద్ధమైన) తిథిని వదలాలి.
