Bhāgīratha’s Bringing of the Gaṅgā
yo vā ko vāpi bhūpāla svakulaṃ śubhakarmaṇā | uddhartukāmastaṃ vidyānnararūpadharaṃ harim || 14 ||

It teaches that sincere righteous conduct aimed at uplifting one’s lineage is ultimately empowered by Hari; the truly liberating uplift comes from recognizing Vishnu’s presence and grace even when He appears in human form.
By directing the king to “know” (vidyāt) Hari behind the beneficent agent, it emphasizes bhakti as recognition and surrender to Vishnu as the real doer and savior, with good deeds becoming offerings aligned to Him.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is dharmic śubha-karma (meritorious action) oriented toward Vishnu as the means for kula-uddhāra.
