Dharma-ākhyāna (Discourse on Dharma): Worthy Charity, Fruitless Gifts, and the Merit of Building Ponds

असूयाविष्टमनसः कृतन्घस्य च मायिनः । अयाज्ययाजकस्यापि दत्तं भवति निष्फलम् ॥ ६ ॥

asūyāviṣṭamanasaḥ kṛtanghasya ca māyinaḥ | ayājyayājakasyāpi dattaṃ bhavati niṣphalam || 6 ||

ఈర్ష్యతో పట్టుబడిన మనస్సు గలవానికి, కృతఘ్నునికి, మాయావికి, అయాజ్యుల కోసం యజ్ఞం చేయించేవానికి ఇచ్చిన దానం నిష్ఫలమగును।
