FAQs

It defines gṛhastha-dharma as a spiritual discipline: marriage and worldly duties are to be lived with restraint, non-envious character, respectful conduct, and Vedic fire-rites performed in the proper way—turning household life into a dharmic path.

While not explicitly naming bhakti, it lays the devotional foundation: humility (no contempt), purity of mind (no envy), and faithful performance of dharma create the inner fitness through which devotion to the Lord becomes steady and fruitful.

Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied by “yathā-nyāya” and “āhitāgniḥ”: maintaining sacred fires and performing domestic rites correctly according to śrauta/smārta rules, including disciplined observance of daily offerings.
