इष्टैः पलैस्तदूनाढ्यं व्यगावूनेऽर्कषङ्गुणः । तदन्यथाधिके तस्मिन्नेवं स्पष्टे सुखांत्यगे ॥ १५७ ॥

Transliteration

iṣṭaiḥ palaistadūnāḍhyaṃ vyagāvūne'rkaṣaṅguṇaḥ | tadanyathādhike tasminnevaṃ spaṣṭe sukhāṃtyage || 157 ||

Translation

నిర్దిష్ట పలాల సంఖ్యలో లోటు లేదా మితిమీరితే ఫలితమూ అలాగే లోపమో అధికమో అవుతుంది. లోటు ఒక ‘వ్యగావ’ అయితే ఫలితం సూర్య-గుణం అంటే ఆరు రెట్లు అవుతుంది. మితిమీరితే దానికి తగినట్లు మార్పు చేయాలి—ఇలా గణితం స్పష్టంగా చెప్పబడింది, సుఖ-ఫల విభాగంతో ముగుస్తుంది।
