संशोध्यं तु त्रिजीवायां कर्कादौ कोटिजं फलम् । तद्बाहुफलवर्गैक्यान्मूलकर्णश्चलाभिधः ॥ १०८ ॥

Transliteration

saṃśodhyaṃ tu trijīvāyāṃ karkādau koṭijaṃ phalam | tadbāhuphalavargaikyānmūlakarṇaścalābhidhaḥ || 108 ||

Translation

కానీ త్రి-జీవా విధానంలో, కర్కాది నుండి కోటి ద్వారా వచ్చిన ఫలాన్ని సవరించాలి. ఆ బాహు మరియు ఫలము—ఇవిరండింటి వర్గాల మొత్తంనుండి ‘మూల-కర్ణం’, ‘చలా’ (చల కర్ణం) అని పిలువబడేది, లభిస్తుంది.
