The Explanation of the Twelve-Month Caturthī Vrata

यद्वा क्षीरेण करकं पूर्णं तोयेन वा मुने । सपूगाक्षतरत्नाढ्यं द्विजाय प्रतिपादयेत् ॥ ४८ ॥

yadvā kṣīreṇa karakaṃ pūrṇaṃ toyena vā mune | sapūgākṣataratnāḍhyaṃ dvijāya pratipādayet || 48 ||

లేదా, ఓ మునీ, పాలతో—లేదా నీటితో—నిండిన కరకాన్ని, తమలపాకులు/సుపారీ, అక్షతలు మరియు రత్నాలతో అలంకరించి ద్విజుడైన బ్రాహ్మణునికి సమర్పించాలి.
