It teaches that a vrata becomes fully efficacious when paired with right completion rites—honoring the guru and offering dakṣiṇā to qualified dvijas—so the vow is sealed with gratitude, humility, and proper ritual closure.
By emphasizing pratimā (a sacred icon) and respectful giving, it frames devotion as disciplined practice: worship is not only inner faith but also reverent service to the guru and support of learned custodians of dharma.
Ritual procedure (Kalpa) is implied: concluding a vow with appropriate dāna and dakṣiṇā to officiants/learned dvijas is part of correct observance and ensures the rite is considered complete.
