Suta (in the Naimiṣāraṇya discourse, recounting the Purāṇic transmission)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes that Purāṇic wisdom is sanctified by paramparā—an authentic lineage of teachers and listeners—making śravaṇa (devotional hearing) a reliable means of receiving dharma and sacred narrative.
By highlighting narration to assembled sages, it points to bhakti through hearing: devotees and seekers cultivate faith and devotion by listening to auspicious Purāṇas in holy assemblies such as Naimiṣāraṇya.
The verse mainly stresses itihāsa–purāṇa pedagogy and oral transmission (recitation, memorization, and teaching discipline), rather than a specific Vedāṅga like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa.
