Narada (teaching within the Narada Purana’s anukramaṇikā/dāna-phala context; traditionally framed in dialogue with Sanatkumāra lineage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that devotion (bhakti) expressed through dāna—specifically gifting a written Purāṇa on an auspicious tithi—becomes a potent dharmic act that yields high religious merit.
Bhakti here is practical and service-oriented: honoring sacred knowledge by preserving it (writing) and sharing it (gifting) to a qualified recipient, done with a devotional intention rather than mere display.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) and Jyotiṣa (sacred timing) are implied: the act is tied to a specific observance time—Phālguna Pūrṇimā—and to a defined dāna-type (tila-dhenu) and recipient category (dvija).
