Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It states the phala-śruti: the act of reciting or hearing the Purāṇic teaching itself is spiritually efficacious, granting both worldly well-being (bhukti) and final liberation (mukti).
By praising śravaṇa (listening) and pāṭha (recitation) as direct means to spiritual attainment, it aligns with bhakti practice where hearing sacred narratives and teachings purifies the mind and leads toward mokṣa.
The verse emphasizes disciplined pāṭha and śravaṇa—practices supported by Śikṣā (proper recitation/phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (correct wording), underscoring accurate transmission as a source of merit.
