वत्सरं त्वेकभक्ताशी सभक्ष्यजलकुम्भदः शिवलोके वसेत्कल्पं प्राप्तिव्रतमिदं स्मृतम् //

Transliteration

vatsaraṃ tvekabhaktāśī sabhakṣyajalakumbhadaḥ śivaloke vasetkalpaṃ prāptivratamidaṃ smṛtam //

Translation

ఒక సంవత్సరం ఏకభక్తాశీగా (రోజుకు ఒక్కసారి భోజనం) ఉండి, భక్ష్యాలతో కూడిన జలకుంభాన్ని దానం చేసినవాడు ఒక కల్పకాలం శివలోకంలో నివసిస్తాడు; ఇది ప్రాప్తివ్రతమని స్మృతిలో చెప్పబడింది।
