जिज्ञासमानो रामस्य वीर्य दाशरथेस्तदा । त॑ वै दशरथ: श्रुत्वा विषयान्तमुपागतम्‌

jijñāsamāno rāmasya vīryaṃ dāśaratheḥ tadā | taṃ vai daśarathaḥ śrutvā viṣayāntam upāgatam ||

దాశరథి రాముని వీర్యాన్ని తెలుసుకోవాలనే కోరికతో అతడు ఆ సమయంలో దశరథుని రాజ్యసీమకు చేరాడు. అతని రాకను విని మహారాజు దశరథుడు సరిహద్దుకు వచ్చిన ఆ అతిథిని గమనించాడు.
