साड्रोपनिषदान्‌ वेदाञ्जपन्निव महातपा: । तस्य पुत्रो5$भवदृषे: स तेजस्वी महाद्विज:,महर्षिका वह महातपस्वी और तेजस्वी पुत्र जन्म-कालसे ही अंग और उपनिषदोंसहित सम्पूर्ण वेदोंका स्वाध्याय-सा करता जान पड़ा। दृढस्यु ब्राह्मणोंमें महान्‌ माने गये

sāṅgopaniṣadān vedān japann iva mahātapāḥ | tasya putro 'bhavad ṛṣeḥ sa tejasvī mahādvijaḥ |

ఆ మహాతపస్వి ఋషికి తేజస్సుతో కూడిన మహాద్విజుడైన కుమారుడు జన్మించాడు. అతడు జన్మించిన క్షణం నుంచే అంగాలు, ఉపనిషత్తులతో కూడిన వేదాలను నిరంతరం జపిస్తున్నట్టుగా కనిపించాడు.
