सप्तमेडब्दे गते चापि प्राच्यवत् स महाकवि: । ज्वलन्निव प्रभावेण दृढस्युर्नाम भारत,भारत! सात वर्ष बीतनेपर अपने तेज और प्रभावसे प्रज्वलित होता हुआ वह गर्भ उदरसे बाहर निकला। वही महादिद्दान् दृढस्युके नामसे विख्यात हुआ
saptame ’bde gate cāpi prācyavat sa mahākaviḥ | jvalann iva prabhāveṇa dṛḍhasyur nāma bhārata ||
ఏడవ సంవత్సరం కూడా గడిచిన తరువాత, పూర్వుల విధానంలా, ప్రభావంతో జ్వలిస్తున్నట్టుగా ఆ మహాకవి గర్భమునుండి బయటికి వచ్చాడు. ఓ భారతా! అతడు ‘దృఢస్యు’ అనే నామంతో ప్రసిద్ధి పొందాడు.
